Google decides that Microsoft Windows is too big a security threat - employees can use either Linux or Mac instead.
Google, the internet giant, has decided to move its employees away from the Microsoft Windows operating system citing the security risks. Google employees have used a mix of Linux, Mac, and Windows until now and so the company is familiar with all 3 operating systems. They cleary believe that Windows is substantially less secure than both Linux and Mac.
Also, Google have always had strong links with Linux. From the very beginning their search engine has run on linux servers, their 'Android' phone operating system is linux, and they support numerous other open-source projects.
